Adoption and Maturity Management Add-on White Papers
Translating Adoption and Maturity Metrics into PPM Value
In order to reap maximum benefits from the unique and powerful AMM metrics on an ongoing basis, customers need to determine how to incorporate the use of the add-on into their existing PPM management processes. Building on our field observations, this paper provides guidelines on how to do this on a weekly, monthly/quarterly, and annual basis. In addition, we include several recommended response strategies, along with techniques and tactics, to help customers properly respond to the AMM findings.
Adoption and Maturity Metrics Leading to “Quick Win” Configuration Changes
This paper proposes that out of all the issues that might be affecting how value is being generated from a PPM implementation, system configuration is typically the quickest to address. The AMM add-on can quickly pinpoint such issues and then continuously provide similar input in response to changes in the dynamic PPM implementation. The reasons for the resulting configuration changes are classified into five categories and field examples are provided.
A Holistic Approach to PPM Data Quality Management
As a system for strategic decision-making and day-to-day operations, maintaining a high quality of OpenText PPM data is vital. Nevertheless, definitions of data quality that incorporate the unique business processes and needs of specific organizations tend to be elusive and adherence to these definitions is often extremely difficult. This paper begins with an introduction to data quality in PPM environments, followed by an overview of AMM’s holistic and unique approach to data quality management.

Design of a Knowledge Management and Organizational Learning System for IT Project Portfolio Managements
Academic Paper, Submitted as Doctoral Dissertation at Columbia University
Itay Erhard (PPMetrics)
The postulate of this study is that a lack of effective knowledge management processes significantly contributes to the disparity between expected and actual value realization of PPM. An abstract design of a knowledge management system is proposed based on an independent study and input from field practitioners. This design covers the following elements: solution capabilities, potential technologies to be utilized in support of the desired capabilities, abstract solution entities and their relationships, construction design considerations, and general system attributes.
